Marina Residences sales

Nakheel will launch a third phase of its Marina Residences on Palm Jumeirah at the Kuwait Boat Show from 21-25 April 2007. The developer says more than 60% of the project has been sold. Buyers are offered first refusal on one of 600 yacht berths at Anchor Marina, which will be run by Island Global Yachting.


Iris Blue now selling

The Property developer is taking bookings for its 27-storey Iris Blue residential building in Dubai Marina. It has a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments and duplexes. Facilities include a shopping arcade with boutique stores, a clubhouse, swimming pool and childrens park. Construction has started and is scheduled for completion in December 2007.


Tamweel finance for Discovery

Tamweel will be offering finance for purchases of Mediterranean apartments at the Discovery Gardens project in Dubai between 22-26 April at Dubai World Trade Centre.


Work starts at $545m Jafza complex

Construction has started on a new convention centre complex at Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai. The $545m project has a convention centre with exhibition halls, a 700-seat auditorium, restaurants, retail outlets and fitness centre; as well as office buildings and 322-room hotel. It is due to be completed by the end of 2008.


Tameer, Al Rajhi Al Ameera deal

Tameer Holding has signed a deal worth around $142m with the Sharjah based Al Rajhi Projects and Construction for the construction of phase one of the Al Ameera Village project in Ajman. Al Rahji has been contracted to build 41 residential buildings within the mixed use development and work commences this month.


TAV to build EFT

TAV has taken possession of the land at the Emirates Financial Towers site in Dubai from Al Habtoor Engineering who carried out the groundwork at the development. Habtoor undertook its work last June and now TAV can commence the actual construction phase. The Emirates Financial Towers will be a twin tower project consisting of 26 floors of offices, retail space and residential units.


JBR release to hit rentals

The release of thousands of apartments at the Jumeirah Beach Residence over the next few months could have an impact on rental prices in the Dubai Marina area, reported Gulf News. It is thought a large number of the 6,500 apartments set to be released will come on to the rental market.


Nakheel, RTA tie-up

Dubais Roads and Transport Authority has established an alliance with Nakheel to provide support to the ongoing development at the Palm Jumeirah. The project, which will see thousands of residential units released, in addition to commercial spaces and more than 30 hotels, will require a major road network and substantial transport infrastructure.
