International City
Set in 300 hectares of land, the International City development will feature ten internationally themed residential districts (China, England, Morocco, Russian, Italy, Spain, France, Persia, Greece, Thailand) - providing quality apartments for more than 60,000 residents when complete.
Quarters of the Chinese district are already complete and December 2004 saw the opening of Dragon Mart: home to the largest selection of Chinese products and services outside China. The development includes, shopping areas, showrooms, restaurants and warehouses that house 4,000 enterprises dealing in Chinese products and services.
Other developments at International City include the Dubai Design Centre. The Dubai Design Centre is an exclusive out of town mega-centre for traders and retailers offering a complete range of home furnishing, design, gardening and construction solutions. Helping meet the demands of Dubai's growing population, and serving clients purchasing properties in the Emirate and beyond, Dubai Design Centre will spread over an area of 12 million square feet.
